Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is necessary to implement the Construction Professionals Act to prosper the construction industry.

He said this while addressing a national gathering of construction professionals close to the party at the party's central office, Sanepa, on Monday. He mentioned that in the current situation where the world economy is in a risky situation, it is inevitable to enrich the construction industry which contributes the largest to the country's gross domestic product and employs more than 2.5 million people directly and indirectly.

For the promotion of the construction industry, the Construction Professionals Act, laws and regulations should be implemented effectively and he expressed his commitment to do his best for that. In addition, he expressed his serious attention to issues such as the payment problems faced by construction professionals, the increase in the price of construction materials, and the lack of a suitable environment for business operations, and promised to take initiatives for solutions.

Mentioning that it is today's need for construction professionals to become technology-friendly for professional promotion, he said that the main challenge today is that the plans are not completed within the specified time and cost.

President Deuba said, 'In the current situation where the world economy is at risk, it is necessary to implement the Construction Professionals Act to prosper the construction industry, which contributes significantly to the country's gross domestic product and provides employment to millions. For this, I will do my best to formulate laws, regulations and regulations.'

He said that his main concerns are the payment problems faced by the construction professionals, the increase in the price of construction materials, and the lack of a suitable environment for business operations. He said, 'I and my party will continue to work for the solution of these problems. It is the need of the day for construction professionals to become technology friendly for business promotion. Also, our main problem is that the plans are not completed within the prescribed cost and time, for the solution of which the government also needs priority.'

Noting that the construction professionals of Nepal are performing excellent work not only in Nepal but also abroad, Chairman Deuba pointed out the need to give special priority to the construction of physical infrastructure such as tunnels, railway services, and hydropower sectors.

He defined construction professionals as the conductors of development and stressed that all parties should play an active role in their respective roles to make the economy dynamic.
