The Bill, 2081 to amend some Nepal Acts related to cooperatives has been approved by the National Assembly. Today's meeting of the National Assembly approved the proposal by the majority to consider the bill presented by the Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari.
Answering the questions raised during the discussion on the proposal, the Cooperative Minister Adhikari clarified that the bill was introduced with the aim of solving the problems seen in the cooperative sector. "The presented bill will solve the immediate problems as soon as possible," he said. The minister said that the government is clear that the problems of the cooperative sector should be resolved in such a way that the wishes and feelings of the opposition, the public and stakeholders are addressed.
MPs Beduram Bhusal, Kiranbabu Pun, Gangakumari Belwase, Indira Devi Gautam, Tulprasad Vishwakarma, Yuvraj Sharma, Uday Bahadur Bohra, Manrupa Sharma, Tulsakumari Dahal, Jayantidevi Rai, Sri Krishna Prasad Adhikari, Rukmini Koirala, Renu Chand, Rajendra Lakshmi Gayre and Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achami participated in the discussion on the proposal.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, informed that MPs who want to amend the bill can register an amendment proposal in the bill branch under the assembly.
