Birganj Dry Port Customs Office has collected revenue of Rs 32 billion 32 crore 88 lakh 78 thousand in eight months of the current financial year.
The Customs Department had given the office a target of collecting Rs 60 billion four crore 87 lakh 97 thousand revenue in a year. According to Dhan Bahadur Baruwal, head of the dry port customs office, in the last two months of the current year, revenue has been collected up to 92 percent of the monthly target. The
office collected revenue of Rs 3.75 billion last July and Rs 4.64 billion in August. In October, Rs 4.36 billion was collected, and in October, Rs 3.79 billion was collected.
Similarly, last November, Rs 3.22 billion, Rs. 3.56 billion in January, Rs. 4.29 billion in January and Rs. 4.68 billion in February were collected. Out of the eight months of the current year, the highest revenue has been collected in February.
