Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry has suggested to the government to restructure the investment board and industry department. The federation concluded that domestic and foreign investment could not come in due to the fact that there are many entities of the same nature, and the one-door policy has not been fully implemented.

Giving suggestions for the policies and programs of the financial year 2082/83, the federation emphasized on Thursday that for the full implementation of the one-door policy, investors should not have to go elsewhere after submitting the file at one place. Federation President Chandra Prasad Dhakal has submitted suggestions to Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Damodar Bhandari.

The federation has requested to carry out a wide investment campaign at home and abroad to bring in investment in the country. For this, he suggested to conduct the Investment in Nepal Campaign program at home and abroad. Since foreign investment has been limited to 0.2 percent of the GDP in the last two years, the federation suggests that an investment campaign program should be widely conducted in Nepal and abroad to gather investment resources.
