Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Damodar Bhandari has said that the government is active in the direction of strengthening the country's economy by promoting import substitution and export. Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Friday, Minister Bhandari said that the government is working diligently for the development of industry and business.
Minister Bhandari mentioned that more than a dozen laws related to the economic sector have been amended to facilitate the industrial and business environment in the country. According to Minister Bhandari, the laws have been amended with the aim of increasing the production of goods and services and making the cost of production more competitive by bringing more ease in the operation of industrial establishments.
He also mentioned that the National Startup Policy 2081 has been approved by the Government of Nepal and the startup loan program has been implemented. Minister Bhandari insists that the government is determined to ensure the local market and promote temporary employment.
