Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has said that the hydropower projects to be built on the Arun River should be constructed quickly and benefited. He said this in a discussion held at the ministry on Monday about the Upper Arun and Arun 4th hydropower projects to be built on the Arun river.

Mentioning that the state suffered huge losses due to the non-construction of hydropower projects for a long time, Khadka said that the country should benefit greatly by completing the Upper Arun, Arun 4th and other projects on time. He says that there will be problems in the course of work and they should be solved and move forward. 

Energy Minister Khadka mentioned that the work should be completed in such a way that the investment will be safe and the country will benefit greatly. He said that construction of the project should be given top priority as thousands of people will get employment and economic development of the country. The participants in the

discussion said that the country should take maximum advantage from both projects. A technical committee is going to be formed to study and reach a conclusion in this regard .
