In the 7 months of the current financial year, 9 trillion 58 crore rupees have been received through remittances. This is an increase of 7.3 percent compared to the same period of last financial year. The remittance inflow increased by 18.8 percent during the same period of last financial year.
Remittance inflows in US dollars increased by 5.3 percent and reached 6.65 billion. Last year, such flow increased by 16.4 percent.
The number of Nepalese who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment in 1 month of the current financial year is 274 thousand 622 and the number of those who took the work permit again is 190 thousand 886.
In the same period last year, such numbers were 245,432 and 157,450 respectively.
