The speakers have emphasized that the service fee, which was dismissed by the Supreme Court against the interests of the workers, should be recovered by making a law from the legislature.

In an interaction program held by the All Nepal Hotel, Casino and Restaurant Workers Association on Friday at Samvad Double in Kathmandu, they also claimed that the court's decision was against the common workers. Jagat Simkha, President of the Joint Trade Union Coordinating Center (JTUCC), said that it was unfortunate that the workers had to go to court to take away their rights. Expressing his concern that due to the weakening of labor rights and the movement, the skilled manpower is migrating day by day, he said, 'The decision to cancel the service charge and not to implement the labor law in the banking and financial sector is a 'ku' on the trade union movement.

Simkha, who is also the president of All Nepal Trade Union Federation, warned that they will not hesitate to hold a decisive movement for labor rights including service fees.

Senior advocate Gandhi Pandit said that the provision of service charges is in favor of both workers and businessmen  He held the opinion that it should be re-implemented. Stating that the cancellation of the service fee recently was sad, he said, 'When it started, I was the drafter and when the service fee was canceled, the skilled workers were forced to go abroad.

Senior advocate Dinmani Pokharel said that even though the Supreme Court has dismissed the provision of service charges, the way to introduce a law through the legislature is not closed. Pokharel, who is also a former attorney general, suggested that any decision and arrangement against the interests of the workers should not be accepted.

Advocate Ghanendra Shrestha emphasized that the service fee should be re-arranged after intensive discussion and discussion with all the concerned parties. Stating that the matter rejected by the court should not be looked at unilaterally, he said, 'Honorable Supreme Court has left open the way for the legislature to enact laws and implement them again.'

Advocate Yuvraj Luintel said that the service fee will not be easily recovered as it has been canceled by the court, and for that, he emphasized on bringing awareness to the lower level of the workers and forcing them to make laws through the force of the movement. 

Advocate Bhaktiram Ghimire said that it is necessary for all associations and organizations in the tourism sector to unite and put pressure on the government and the concerned parties.

Central President of All Nepal Hotel, Casino and Restaurant Workers Union, Kumar Pant urged to move forward unitedly as this movement is shared by all trade unions and workers active in this sector.
