The Ministry of Finance has released an additional 3.84 billion rupees for health-related programs including health insurance payments.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has decided to release the amount based on the demand of the Ministry of Health and Population.

Out of which 3 billion rupees have been allocated to the Health Insurance Board, 600 million rupees for the treatment of senior citizens and 24 million rupees have been released to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center for free treatment of heart disease patients.
