5 points have been agreed between the government and the gas industry. In a meeting held on Tuesday in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Secretary Gobind Bahadur Karki, officials of Nepal Oil Corporation and Nepal LP Gas Industry Association agreed on 5 points, including increasing gas transportation commission by Rs 12 per cylinder.

According to the agreement, the corporation will form a sub-committee regarding the adjustment of external transportation fare, internal transportation fare, operation and administrative expenses of gas industries by 12 rupees 75 paise per cylinder, the profit given to the industrialists in a flat (lump sum) amount per cylinder or a fixed percentage, the corporation will do the necessary homework regarding other demands that the corporation cannot address and submit it to the board of directors and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, all the programs of opposition of the gas industry association today. It is mentioned that the withdrawal and from today all the gas manufacturers will take regular Product Delivery Order (PDO) from the corporation to facilitate the supply of LP gas. 

On January 24, the gas industry submitted a 19-point memorandum with various demands to the ministry.  In the

discussion, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply Shivram Pokharel,   Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation Dr. Chandika Prasad Bhatt, Director of LP Gas and Aviation Department Anjana Pokharel participated. Similarly, former president and current advisor Gokul Bhandari, advisor Savarmal Agarwal, senior vice president Diwan Chand, member Ayush Nepal were present on behalf of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association.
