The deadline for applying for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has been extended by seven more days. The selection committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Seventak Pokharel has extended the deadline by seven days from Sunday.
According to which, they can now apply for the said post till February 25.
Previously, it was possible to apply from February 12 to 18. Now the recommendation committee has again extended the deadline for seven days.
For the CEO of NEPSE, at least a master's degree or chartered accountancy or similar degree must be obtained from a recognized educational institution in economics, commerce, finance, management, information technology or commerce or law.
In addition, there is a provision that there should be at least 15 years of work experience with at least seven years of experience working at a high managerial level in the capital market or financial sector or management.
The Ministry of Finance formed a selection committee last week to select the CEO of NEPSE. According to the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Pokharel has Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Amrit Lamsal and Khomraj Kharel as expert members. After the tenure of the then CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki, the post of CEO of NEPSE has been vacant since January 25.
