Now, when taking loans from banks and financial institutions for the purchase of all types of electric vehicles, only up to 60 percent of the price is available. Nepal Rastra Bank has made this arrangement through the semi-annual review of monetary policy.
Previously, banks and financial institutions were providing loans up to 80 percent of the market value for electric vehicles.
Similarly, the Rastra Bank has arranged that banks and financial institutions can give loans up to 60 percent for the purchase of personal vehicles other than electric vehicles. Earlier, only up to 50 percent of the value could be taken as a loan for the purchase of such vehicles.
