Applications are invited for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The selection committee formed under the coordination of Finance Ministry Joint Secretary Seventak Pokharel invited applications for the CEO of NEPSE on Monday.
Applications are invited for the said post within seven days (this is February 18) from the date of publication of the notification.
For the CEO of NEPSE, at least a master's degree or chartered accountancy or similar degree should be obtained from a recognized educational institution in economics, commerce, finance, management, information technology or commerce or law.
In addition, there is a provision that there should be at least 15 years of work experience with at least seven years of experience working at a high managerial level in the capital market or financial sector or management.
The Ministry of Finance formed a selection committee on Sunday to select the CEO of NEPSE. According to the decision of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance under the coordination of Joint Secretary Pokharel Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Amrit Lamsal and Khomraj Kharel as expert members are members of the committee. After the tenure of the then CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki, the post of CEO of NEPSE has been vacant since January 25.
