There will be no flights at Resunga Airport for the entire month of February. A small plane of Nepal Airlines was taking flight at the airport.
According to Suman Thapa, head of the airline's Resunga office, the flight has been suspended due to a problem with the plane that was being loaded to take off the flight. There are two small planes in Nepal Airlines.
'One ship has already been damaged and the rest of the other ship also had a problem with its engine. The ship is currently damaged and is in Kathmandu for repair,'' he said, 'there is no possibility of flying even throughout February,' Chief Thapa said that it took more time to make it by bringing materials from abroad.
The last time the airline operated a Tamghas-Kathmandu flight at Resunga Airport on 24th of December 2081. The airport, which had its first flight on May 3, 2079, has had only 90 flights in nearly 20 months.
According to station in-charge Thapa, 1,165 Tamghas-Kathmandu and 1,088 Kathmandu-Tamghas passengers were served in that flight. The ship can carry up to 19 passengers at a time. Although there are flights at the airport, there are only three employees.
