Two rural municipalities of Makwanpur have given production subsidy and farm promotion subsidy to Raithane crop millet farming, so millet farming is expanding.

For the past three years, along with the federal government, the rural municipality has been providing subsidies to increase the production and productivity of Raithane crop millet, so about 400 households in the said municipality have cultivated millet . The municipality has introduced marketing and branding of millet flour in the market. In order to increase the consumption of millet, one day of the week i.e. Thursday, millet dishes have been made mandatory in the school lunch program.
