Contrary to market rumors, Apple has released a new iPhone of the 16E series instead of the SE model. In the much-awaited event on Wednesday, the company discontinued the old SE version of the budget phone and launched a completely new iPhone series in the market. This affordable smartphone includes the company's artificial intelligence (AI) technology 'Apple Intelligence'.
Apple is going to provide the 'E' version included in the iPhone 16 with attractive features at a cheap price. The company claims that the iPhone 16E includes the A18 chip, Face ID, USB-C port, Apple Intelligence and exceptional battery life.
It has a 48 megapixel camera system and will be available in a ceramic shield cover with water and dust resistance, according to Apple. Pre-orders for iPhone 16E will open from February 21 and It will be available in the market from February 28, according to Apple's statement. According to
CNN, the price of iPhone 16 E with 128 GB storage has been set at $599 (roughly Rs. 80,000). By including Apple intelligence in cheap iPhones, the company wants to bring its AI technology to as many consumers as possible, according to CNN's analysis.
"Apple has recently been facing increasing competition from Google and Samsung in the cheap smartphone market and the AI sector," according to CNN's news, "now it may be important for Apple to reach more customers through 16E."
