The Ministry of Finance has approved resources worth 18.88 billion rupees for the reconstruction of 26 projects including roads and bridges that were damaged by the floods that occurred in the second week of October.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has decided to provide resource consent for the reconstruction of the projects on February 4, as requested by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
26 projects are related to 13 road and 13 bridge reconstruction projects. In road reconstruction, there are 13 projects including BP Highway, Mechi Highway, Araniko Highway, Kanti Highway.
Likewise, the Ministry of Finance has given consent to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to establish a temporary office as well as create a post to proceed with the reconstruction of the structures damaged by the Jajarkot earthquake.
