More than 5 crores of revenue has been collected in Sankhuwasabha in three months from the distribution of compensation for various hydropower projects. Chief District Officer Vinod Kumar Khadka said that 50.13 lakh 6000 revenue was collected from the distribution of compensation for the Arun Third Access Road and the Lower Arun Hydropower Project.
According to government standards, 437 million 57 thousand revenue has been collected from the beneficiaries of the 669 megawatt lower Arun hydropower project under construction in Sankhuwasabha. Similarly, 75 lakh 48 thousand 600 revenue has been collected from the entry way of Arun 3rd project with 900 megawatt capacity.
District Administration Office Sankhuwasabha will deposit the amount of compensation in the account of the concerned beneficiary. The lower Arun project will build the main structure in Chichila Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha and Khandbari Municipality-2 Chewa.
Beneficiaries have received 15 million 12 million 35 thousand compensation for the Lower Arun project so far. According to the district administration, 656 people in this area will get compensation. About 1 billion 40 million compensation will be distributed for them.
