The National Bank has issued a notification to verify if citizens have Danish Krone (DKK) within the middle of February (March 13, 2025).
According to the prevailing business, the National Bank has asked to cooperate with the foreign department of this bank, provincial offices of this bank dealing with foreign currency, licensed banks and financial institutions of this bank dealing with foreign exchange, or money changers dealing with family foreign currency.
The Rastra Bank has also published a notification that after the end of February this bank, including other licensed financial institutions, money changers and foreign exchange traders will not be obliged to exchange such bank notes.
The Central Bank of Denmark has also informed that detailed information about the bank notes that have been discarded from legal use is available on the website of the Central Bank of Denmark.
