The Rampur Festival, Agricultural Exhibition and Trade Fair conducted at the Ram Tulsi Sports Ground in the Rampur Municipality of Palpa generated a turnover of 80 million rupees.
Bhojendra Prakash Dhakal, President of Rampur Industry and Commerce Association, said that this transaction was seen in the details collected from the stall owners while reviewing the 13-day festival on Saturday. Apart from Palpa, Tanahun, East Nawalpur, Syangja, more than 200,000 people watched the
festival. President Dhakal said that the business in the festival has made the economic activities of the region sustainable. In the
festival, the association has earned 77 lakh 59 thousand rupees from ticket sales. It was conducted from January 15th to 27th under the project of the association and under the patronage of Rampur Municipality.
Khim Bahadur KC, the general secretary of the association said that the festival organized to realize the basis of the development of industry and trade in Kaligandaki valley for economic prosperity was successful. He said that local agricultural products, domestic and cottage industries, handicrafts and materials produced by women entrepreneurs, original food dishes were given priority in the
festival.
