Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the country's economy is gradually improving. Inaugurating the Gandaki regional office building of the National Commercial Bank in Pokhara today, he said that the problems seen in the economy when the current government was formed have gradually improved.

He mentioned that the current government consisting of two major parties was formed to solve the existing problems including the deteriorating economic situation of the country.

Stating that economic indicators also show that the country's economy has improved, Finance Minister Paudel said that the current government has the willpower and is capable of solving the problem. 

Mentioning that Pokhara International Airport was built by the government, he clarified that the government is also working towards its operation. Mentioning that the Prime Minister himself has held several meetings and discussions regarding the operation of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports, he said that the government is serious about its operation.

He emphasized that government banks should attract common people. 

Minister of Industry and Tourism of Gandaki Province Mitralal Basyal said that Gandaki Province has great potential for development of industry, agriculture and tourism and urged banks and financial institutions to invest in these areas.

Member of the House of Representatives Damodar Vairagi pointed out the need to invest in the productive sector.
