Nepal Electricity Authority has started the extension of 33 KVA power transmission line to Corolla on the China border. According to the authority, if the work is done at the current pace, the full capacity of electricity will be reached up to Corolla Naka by next August. Corolla Naka is at a height of about 4600 meters above sea level.

Currently, low voltage (low voltage) electricity has reached Upper Mustang area. Locals are in trouble because of 'low voltage' electricity going on here. The authority has said that the capacity of the transmission line is being expanded to get rid of the electrification of the capacity that cannot even light a normal heater. In the first phase, wire pulling work is being done in an area of 104 km. The work of burying 2,265 poles of 11 meters height is being done in that area.

The construction of two substations has been progressed to carry the high voltage power line in an area of about 115 km from Kobang to Charang. Nawalpur rural electrification and Chusang-Mustang 33 KVA transmission line and substation construction projects are doing this work. Paradise Hulas JKB JV has got 28 crores for this work.

In the upper Mustang area, which is very cold, due to the voltage, even the normal heater does not turn on because the work is being done to upgrade the line, said Bimal Raut, head of the empowerment project. He said that the government is working on the project to increase the facility of electrification with the increase in the number of tourists.

The work of extending the 33 KVA transmission line from Kobang substation to Charang has reached its final stage, said Navraj Kadaria, side in charge of the project. He said that although it is difficult to bury the iron pole and pull the wire due to the cold, the work of extending the line is going on.
