World AI Action Conference kicks off in Paris

The World Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit has started today in Paris, the capital of France. In this two-day conference, along with government representatives of 80 countries, leading companies, developers, experts and others in the field of AI will participate. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is present as co-chairman at the conference chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron.

This is the third edition of the Global Dialogue on AI. Previously, the first AI conference was held in the UK in 2023 and last year in Seoul, South Korea. This time, with the widespread popularity of the Chinese AI model Dipsic, this conference is being held amid major changes in the information technology sector, so many people are interested in it. Prime Minister Modi has reached the AI ​​conference for the first time. Vice President JD Vance is representing the United States, while Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Jiaqing is participating in the conference.  

The Paris AI conference gave the general user  It aims to provide free, safe and reliable access to AI, develop environmentally friendly AI and emphasize its global regulatory efforts while ensuring effective and inclusive AI. According to Agence France Presse (AFP), 1,500 visitors are gathering on Monday at the 125-year-old opulent Grand Palais in Paris. It includes Sam Altman, head of ChatGPT creator Open AI, Sundar Pichai, head of Google. According to the BBC, Elon Musk is not on the guest list.

It is expected that the famous Chinese app Dipsik will be at the center of the discussion at the conference where the current state of the AI ​​field will be discussed from the future goals. As an impressive technology made at a much lower cost than other AI chatbots, Dipsik has created a wave in technology and the global economy. The Indian Express reports that the round table discussion organized by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, the Office of the Chief Science Adviser to the Government of India, NASSCOM and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will discuss policy issues related to the global AI industry and the possibility of cooperation between India and France.

India has got the opportunity to co-chair this conference as it prepares itself for AI competition. India recently selected 10 companies to supply high-end chips for machine learning and graphics processing units (GPUs) needed by AI. India wants to purchase 18 thousand 693 GPPUs. India has chosen companies like Jio Platforms, Hiranandi Group Company Yotto, Tata Communications, Etui Networks to provide this service. India wants to develop its own large language model for the 'India AI Mission'. President Macron has been saying that France, which organized the

conference, wants to transform Paris from a city of light into a city of AI. On the sidelines of the AI ​​conference, the United Arab Emirates and France have reached an agreement to invest 30 to 50 billion dollars for the development of AI infrastructure, according to AFP. It is planned to build a data center of up to 1 gigawatt in France. France's Minister of Digital and AI Clara Sapaz has said that 35 places have been looked at for the construction of data centers.
