The price of one cow may not be believed to be more than 111,000. It is surprising to hear this. Santosh Vishwakarma has prepared a khukuri weighing 30 kg worth 111 thousand 111 rupees. The Khukuri prepared by him has been exhibited at the ongoing 4th Rampur Festival and Trade Fair in Rampur.
Khukuri is currently becoming the main attraction of the fair. To preserve the importance of Khukuri, which is regarded as the pride of Nepali people, and to inform the new generation, he said that Khukuri weighing 30 kg has been prepared.
The 30 kg khukuri prepared by him is eight feet long and weighs 42 kg including the drum. Vishwakarma says that he prepared the khukuri in 20 days with the help of three people. He said that 30,000 was spent on the construction of the hut apart from the wages. Vishwakarma's Khukri in the exhibition is winning the hearts of the audience.
The audience who come to watch the fair, finding it interesting, observe the khukuri, take photos, videos and post it on social media, has garnered a lot of buzz. Vishwakarma has also put iron tools needed for agricultural and household purposes for sale on the occasion of the fair.
'Nepali's pride is khukuri, to inform the new generation about its importance, I have been taking it for exhibition at local fairs and festivals, along with khukuri, I have been putting in the exhibition tools needed for agricultural and household purposes,' he said.
Vishwakarma, the owner of Vishwakarma Aran Udyog located in Waling Municipality-8 of Syangja, said that he prepares them because they are looking for khukuri for home decoration. Before this, he informed that 13 kg weight 45 thousand and 20 kg weight khukuri has been sold for 55 thousand.
The 4th Rampur Festival and Trade Fair which started on 15th of January under the organization of Rampur Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue till 27th. The attraction of local products in the fair is increasing.
