The employees' organization has emphasized that the arrangement for the sale and distribution of milk and milk products produced by the Dairy Development Institute in all 753 local level wards should be arranged. Milk Development Institute Employees Association Nepal has made such a demand.

The organization published a press release on Friday and demanded to make such an arrangement as the market of the institute is shrinking due to the economic recession and other issues and the stock of milk and milk products is increasing.

In all 6743 wards of 753 local levels, the organization has also demanded to arrange the use of dishes made from milk and dairy products in the lunch program conducted by political parties, social associations, organizations and schools with the main slogan of 'Let's establish a culture of milk and dairy products consumption, improvement of rural people's life, progress of the nation'. Sahdev Aryal, the president of the organization, said that instead of snacks and cold drinks in the

program, it has been requested to arrange the use of milk and dairy products. He said that this will help the institute to get rid of the current financial crisis.

It is hoped that this will help to make Nepal self-sufficient in milk and raise the standard of living of farmers. The institute has been marketing milk and milk products produced from 64 milk processing centers and 16 cheese and paneer production centers of eight milk distribution projects in 47 districts and is transferring more than 10 million cash to rural farmers daily.

It has played a role in the development of self-employment-oriented rural economy in the country.
