It has been found that the progress of national pride projects launched by the government with the aim of providing easy services to citizens and economic growth through development and construction is not satisfactory. Although the government has provided all kinds of means and resources, it has been found that the progress of such projects has not been expected.
Out of a total of 27 projects of national pride, a total of 66.75 billion three lakh was allocated for 19 projects in the current financial year. A total of 17 billion 15 billion 32 million has been spent in the period up to the end of last December. According to which, 25.70 percent of the project of national pride has been spent during the review period.
At the beginning of the financial year 2068/69, 17 projects of national pride were identified, and the government of Nepal included successive and new projects on the basis of necessity and propriety. The number of such projects has been increased to 27, apart from the ones that have been completed and the work has not yet started, 19 projects are under implementation as of the financial year 2081/82.
In fiscal year 2080/81, out of 60.38 billion 71 million net budget allocated for projects of national pride, 54.24 billion 8 million was spent and financial progress was 89.82 percent and physical progress was 57.50 percent, according to the Ministry of Finance.
