Ginger and beans produced by the farmers of Nisdi Rural Municipality-5 Galdha have been exported to European markets. Dried ginger rice has been exported since two years ago. Raw ginger has also been exported this year. This year there are preparations to export more ginger rice and white beans.
9 thousand 800 kg of organically certified raw ginger has been exported to Europe. According to Ammaya Mashrangi, manager of Galdha Social Entrepreneurs Women's Cooperative in Galdha Dhunganabesi, the target was to send 20,000 kg of raw ginger. "We couldn't send it as per the target because the Bose ginger planted for juice did not grow well," she said, "Now we have started making ginger rice". It is thought that rice can be sent as per the demand.
At least 20 women are busy daily cleaning, making rice and drying ginger in the building of the cooperative in order to prepare it for export abroad. Narayani Dhungana, coordinator of the audit committee of the cooperative, said that 25,000 kg of white beans are also being graded. 272 farmers associated with
cooperative have been purchasing ginger after certifying it as organic and exporting it abroad. The women here have been running the ginger processing industry for four years with the help of various stakeholders. With the financial support of Raw Ginger Heifer Nepal, the coordination of Rural Economic Development Association (REDA) Palpa and the technical support of Akista Nepal, the cooperative had rented 42 plants of land and planted seeds from Sindhuli and Ramechhap.
President Mashrangi said that the ginger cooperative has leased land suitable for juice. The cooperatives of Galdha planted ginger in Banglang, Gejha, Mudhabhanjyang, Tamasgiri, Bahpur. Only 1 lakh 3 thousand has been spent on rent. Sunari Magar, a worker from Dhunganabesi, said that 15 women are busy grading white beans daily in the cooperative. She said that collecting the beans and then grading them is hasty. This year, the farmers who were getting a price of 130 to 40 rupees have been able to sell it in cooperatives at 165 rupees per kg.
Farmers are happy after the marketing of agricultural produce white beans produced in this village, which is 65 km away from the capital Tanse, has been ensured. To meet the demand from Europe this year, manager Dilmaya Saru said that the cooperative has purchased 28,040 kg of beans including 25,081 kg of white and 3,059 kg of black and brown beans. Saru, the manager, said that they bought beans from the same village for Rs 45 lakh 64 thousand 26.
20,000 kg of the collected food has been prepared to be sent to various countries including Germany in Europe . Akista Nepal Pvt Ltd has assigned agricultural technicians for that. Two years ago, the organization certified organic and sent 850 kg of ginger samples to Europe for testing. The exporting organization also supports the cooperative in processing losses, certification, overhead etc. .

The ginger produced in Nisdi was purchased by local traders and reached India only from Butwal, Bhairahawa, Kathmandu. Galdha-based cooperative has purchased 39 thousand 884 kg of ginger last year and bought it for 39 lakh 76 thousand and sold it for 47 lakh 68 thousand . The local level, the state government and the federal government have not paid attention to ginger production, market and its promotion in recent times, so the production has decreased drastically.
