Prime Minister's request to businessmen to increase exports

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged industrialists and businessmen to create conditions to increase exports to international markets including neighboring India and China by producing in large quantities.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 8th International Chamber Expo organized by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce at Bhrikutimandap today, he emphasized on the need to produce in large quantities to increase exports and increase trade accordingly by knowing where things are sold.

Stating that Nepal will move forward with more intensity as infrastructure development continues, Prime Minister Oli said that since the new government was formed to bring the economy back to normal when the economy was adversely affected by things such as uncomfortable political instability, he said that in 2026, Nepal is preparing to upgrade to a middle-income country.

During infrastructure development, the government is making Tribhuvan International Airport a boutique airport and expanding other airports as well as expanding access to the sea from the river.

'Now we are preparing the business figures. That is not real. Only activities bought or imported for consumption cannot be considered business,' Prime Minister Oli said, 'We have to use science and technology to increase various social activities and production. The current government is taking the development of the economy very seriously.

Prime Minister Oli urged everyone to work together to upgrade Nepal from a low-income country and expressed his happiness that the Chamber EXPO was held with the goal of improving himself and the country. In the

program, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung said that the government will make policy clarity about artificial intelligence and make legal arrangements and the ordinance brought by the government will be useful for the business development of the information technology sector.

President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Kamlesh Kumar Agarwal said that various ordinances brought by the government recently have brought positive hope in the industry and business sector. The Chamber's Fair, which has 125 exhibition rooms from Nepal, India, Pakistan and other countries, will continue till January 21.
