Somewhere sugarcane is being weighed, somewhere else it is being harvested. The sugarcane juice is boiled in a large pot. A good industry in Beldandi rural municipality-2 Chauvanni, which is in the southern part of the district, is busy nowadays.

Not only for the products, but also for selling the goods to the customers who come here to buy. At present, there is an increase in activity from large sugar mills to small goods industries. It is busy from October to February, the season of sugarcane production. "Nowadays, from cutting sugarcane to the industry, harvesting and producing sugar cane is done at the same time," Dammar Shah, owner of Kedar Good Industry in Beldadi-2 Chauvanni, said, "It is also difficult to find workers, that's why it has become more uncomfortable."

Shah, who started producing sugar since 2065, is also cultivating sugarcane in 25 bighas. They get the sugarcane they produce in their own industry. Apart from that, they buy 25 bigha of sugarcane. In one season, he grows about 12,000 quintals of sugarcane and produces 1,000 to 1,100 quintals of sugarcane. He has also given employment to 18 people.

'The demand for goods is high, it cannot be delivered,' says Shah, 'more than half is sold from the industry.' Shah said that it is the choice of customers because it is better and tastier than gud imported from India. Apart from this, he has also sent to Dhangadhi in Kailali and the hilly district of Far West. Sahabeer Sunar of Belauri Municipality-6 Bhudakote, which is in the southern region, is also now in need. He is also engrossed in producing good in his industry. He grows sugarcane himself. They make jaggery by burning that sugarcane.

"We buy scarce sugarcane from the village," Sunar said. About one thousand/twelve hundred quintals of good are produced from it. The gold produced by the goldsmith is also sold in the local market. In the past, good production was very high. At that time, he used to deliver to the far west and hilly districts of Karnali. But now with the opening of two sugar mills, it became difficult to get sugarcane. Therefore, he has reduced the quantity of goods produced.

Not only this, it is difficult for the goods here to find a market as low-quality goods are illegally imported from India. Traders say that since the goods imported from India are cheaper, the goods here do not even get the cost price. According to Business Shah, half a dozen industries were closed due to this reason in 2068.

'At that time, many industries were closed, I also sold one bigha of land at a huge loss,' said Shah, 'now I want to run the sugarcane industry from that.' He said that because the quality is good, they can easily get the market.
