The Confederation of Nepal Industry and Commerce has requested all district and city Chambers of Commerce and Industry and their members to implement the government's decision to make the use of indigenous products compulsory in public bodies.
According to Federation President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the government has passed the 'Guideline 2081 for the use of indigenous products in public bodies' at the request of the federation and this decision is welcome.
The government, by using the right given by Section 68 of the Industrial Business Act, 2076, to promote the production of indigenous goods, job creation, import management and the market of manufactured goods by making maximum use of the available resources at the local level, and to make the use of indigenous goods in public bodies effective Guidelines for the use of goods - 2081' have been issued.
Believing that this decision of the government will help in the promotion of indigenous products, the Federation has requested all its members to use and promote Nepali products as much as possible.
