It is now possible to buy tickets online to climb the tower. Last December 9, the fee for climbing the tower was fixed.

After setting the fee, arrangements were made to go to the Dharahara complex and get a ticket. Prakash Aryal, Project Director, Central Project Implementation Unit (Buildings and Housing) said that even now there is an arrangement to climb the tower by buying tickets online and at the premises.

Dharahara was opened for free on October 3rd on the occasion of Constitution Day after the construction of the tower and garden of Dharahara. Later, the Ministry of Urban Development stated that the fee was fixed.

A fee of 200 rupees has been fixed for citizens above 10 years of age to climb the tower. A 50% discount has been arranged for students, senior citizens and disabled. According to the Ministry of Urban Development, a fee of Rs 500 per person has been set for tourists coming from SAARC countries and Rs 1000 per person for those coming from non-SAARC countries.
