The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell for the second day in a row this week. Today, the NEPSE index decreased by 15.54 points to 2,594.13 points.

Today, 1 crore 38 lakh 70 thousand 579 shares of different 322 companies were bought and sold 64 thousand two hundred and 78 times, with a transaction worth Rs. 6 billion 65 crore 8 lakh 83 thousand.

In today's business, the sub-indices of all groups have decreased. The most business group decreased by 1.89 percent, hotel and tourism by 1.36 percent and finance group by 1.32 percent. 

Banking has decreased by 0.35%, development bank by 0.58%, hydropower by 0.49%, investment by 0.60% and life insurance by 0.50%. Similarly, production and processing decreased by 0.77 percent, microfinance by 0.44 percent, mutual fund by 0.42 percent, non-life insurance by 0.02 percent and other groups by 0.67 percent.

Today, the share price of Barahi Hydropower Public Limited has a positive circuit, but the share price of Atmanirbhar Laguvitta Financial Sanstha Limited and Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited has a negative circuit.

On the basis of transaction amount, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited has the highest transaction amounting to Rs 45 crore 25 lakh 51 thousand. Based on the number of shares traded, the highest number of Machhapuchhrre Bank promoter shares was 849 thousand 833 shares.
