The Muglin-Pokhara road extension of the Prithviraj highway has gained momentum. The road is being extended from Ambukhaireni to Jamune at a distance of 41.45 km. So far, 74 percent physical progress has been made in this section.

Bishnu Prasad Pandey, the information officer of the eastern section, informed that the last stage of the blacktop work has been completed at a distance of 27.4 km in the eastern section. According to him, in the first phase, 6 cm and 4 cm in the second phase, 10 cm of the road has been paved.

The information officer of the eastern section informed Pandey that two lanes of road paving work has been completed on the road distance of 69 km. According to Pandey, the final stage of blacklisting is going on. The construction work in Dumre, Chirkan and Damauli sections of the district has been progressed at a fast pace.

Bandipur, Ambukhareni and Beas in different places of the three municipalities, the final black paper work has been carried forward. The work of the bridge being constructed on the Madi River connecting Beas Municipality-4 and 5  More than 50 percent has been completed. In the eastern section, the agreement was signed on January 17, 2077 and the work started on May 2, 2078.

The contract for the eastern section has been awarded to China Communication Construction. Due to the increase in the number of vehicles on the road, which was drawn in the year 2026, the road is going to be made four-lane with the loan support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The contract for the eastern section was worth 6 billion 21 crore 31 lakh 13 thousand rupees. After the contract of this section expires, the deadline has been extended until February 2nd.
