The electricity of the national transmission grid has reached the base camp of Tilicho Lake, a tourist spot in Manang, and Thorangla Bhanjyang. With the connection of the national transmission line, the obligation of solar energy has been removed.

Kulman Ghising, executive director of the authority informed that the power supply has started by installing a distribution transformer of 50 kVA capacity at the base camp at an altitude of 4,250 meters in Manang Ngisyang rural municipality-9 Khangsar.

Chyolpa Gurung, ward president of Ngisyang rural municipality-9, said that it was very easy after reaching the national broadcasting line. He said, 'After reaching the national line, it has become easier for the hikers going to Tilicho Lake from the base camp as well as the locals, there has been an increase in the use of electricity, we have started using electricity to boil water as well, which has reduced the consumption of gas.'

The authority has informed that the national transmission line electricity has been delivered to the base camp of Tilicho Lake as part of the campaign to light up the religious and tourist areas. 

The 33 KV power transmission line from the substation of Radhi Sana Hydropower Center in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-5 Ghermu of Lamjung has reached the 33/11 KV substation of Chame Rural Municipality-1 Sakrew. The authority said that the 11 KV line from the substation was taken to the base camp via Chame, the headquarters.

The Authority is operating 45 KW Chame Small Hydroelectric Power Station and 80 KW Manang Small Hydroelectric Power Station for power supply in Manang. When the national transmission line was tripped and shut down, electricity was generated and supplied from small hydropower plants, said Raju Mahato, head of the Manang distribution center of the authority.

As part of the Marsyangdi Corridor 220 KV transmission line project, the construction of a 220 KV substation in Nason rural municipality-1 Dharapani of Manang has been completed and electricity is flowing from there and the electricity supply of Manang will be improved.
