Tangrini Tatopani Pass

After the bridge was swept away by the flood last October, the Tatopani canal, which has been blocked from time to time, is gradually getting narrower. After the rains of the second week of October swept away the Beilibridge and bridge in Larchar and Liping, the traffic is increasing in the northern channel of Tatopani, which has been blocked from time to time.

Most of the shops and hotels in the ruined Liping Bazar have been run with simple repairs and redecoration. Shops opened across the border in Zhangmu Bazaar and Wari Liping have seen an increase in the number of customers and the business is improving.

On the initiative of Bhotekoshi rural municipality, the road has been constructed by placing a hump pipe in Larcha, while in Liping, the remains of ruined houses have been removed, but after the construction of the highway, a comfortable environment has been created at the border, said Kumar Shrestha, chairman of Bhotekoshi-2.

"The hot water blocked by the landslides in Bhotekoshi and Liping river in Asoj is barely rising, the roads that were washed away at that time have been rebuilt, business in the market and locals have started to return to their old rhythm," said Ward President Shrestha.

When the bridge over Bhotekoshi in Larcha, about 5 km west of Miteri bridge, was washed away, traders and locals were affected. With no road and bridge, 400 containers carrying goods were stranded on the road of the border area, including Khasa and Nyalam from China.

Beilibridge has been completed and operational in the Khagdal of Bahrbise-Tatopani (26 km) while China seems to be repairing the quarantine, parking lot and under the Miteri bridge that were devastated by the flood.

Moreover, since China is constructing about 7 kilometers of roads and tunnels leading to Khasa and here, there are delays in the delivery of containers from time to time, said Buddharaj Basnet, president of the Sindhupalchok Industry and Commerce Association.

Bhotekoshi-2 It has been a year since China has placed an extravagant security and checking gate in the middle of Miteri bridge connecting China from Tatopani. Locals have become angry saying that this gate has been kept by China. Some locals even alleged that the people's representatives of the border area remained silent about the impact on the border crossing.

"China is experiencing a silent flood, the river has been dammed and sloped, due to which the river is continuously eroding the Leaping Bazar, and currently it has placed an iron gate in the middle of Miteri bridge," said Kumar Shrestha, president of Bhotekoshi-2. He said that he had to make a lot of sacrifices to keep the boundary between Liping Miteri Bridge and China's border.

Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa said that he is not aware of this and can only say something after understanding the ministry. "It cannot be said about this, since there is no such information here, it seems that everything should be understood," he said.
