Twelve construction companies blacklisted

The government has blacklisted 12 construction companies and suppliers. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office issued a notice today and said that those companies and suppliers have been blacklisted as per the decision of the office on Wednesday.

According to section 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act 2063, 12 companies have been blacklisted in the notification.

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office has mentioned in the notice that the blacklisted builders and suppliers will not be able to participate in any procurement process for one to three years. The office has blacklisted some companies and suppliers for three years, some for one year and some for six months. 

According to the notification, 12 public bodies including the Directorate of Transport Infrastructure at Fidim in Panchthar, Nepal Telecom Central Office, Road Department at Chaurjahari in Rukum West, Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office, Nepal Forest Corporation Limited have written to blacklist the said office.
