The bureau has alerted everyone about the spread of fraudulent advertisements and links on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Viber. The Bureau claims that unauthorized activity is increasing through
online job advertisements, sponsored links and various online platforms. "The Bureau has drawn serious attention to the increasing number of cases of cheating by sending various types of links through sponsored advertisements under the cover of online jobs," the notification said.
According to the Bureau, there is an increase in cases of cheating in online marketplace/online shopping, gift packages, Aputali, PTE exam date booking through online, room rent online etc. For this purpose, it is mentioned in the notification that fraud has been adopted by asking for OTP from e-services, mobile wallets like Khalti and banks and financial institutions. Not only
