According to the new rate implemented by Nepal Telecom with the approval of the regulator Nepal Telecommunication Authority, the per minute charge for calling India using access code 1424 has been fixed at Rs 3.76. This is a fee excluding tax.
Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited (Nepal Telecom) has revised the tariff rate of international calls made through access code 1424 among the various options applicable to make calls to India at cheap rates . The company said that the new rate will be effective from 12 midnight on 15th of Pus 2081.
The pulse duration for calls to India using access codes 1424, 1425 and 1445 has been fixed at 60 seconds, the company said.
Nepal Telecom has mentioned in a statement that this new rate has been announced with the aim of providing quality service to customers and making international calls cheaper and easier. The company claims that with the implementation of new rates for calling services in India, customers can get services at affordable rates.
According to Hari Dhakal, spokesperson of Nepal Telecom, Telecom will continue to modify such plans keeping in mind the customer's convenience.
