Rasuwagadhi Hydro Power located in Timure in North Rasuwa has successfully produced the test. The power house has been constructed from an underground structure in the coastal area of ​​Bhotekosi, Tatopani, Ward No. 1 and 2, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality.

 

It is said that three machines of 33/33 MW capacity connected to the power house will generate electricity. Presently, after the water flow of the river decreased due to cold weather, 52 megawatts of electricity was generated from the first test, said Satyaram Jakhwa, head of the project. He said that all the three units have been started and during the rainy season electricity will be produced according to capacity.

It is said that the total cost of the project is 18 billion 692 million rupees. It is said that the completion of construction has been delayed for some time due to the lack of petroleum supply in the past, the devastating earthquake of 2072, the flooding in Bhotekoshi during the rainy season, and the highway being blocked during the rainy season.

Rasuwagadhi Jalvidyut will produce 61.38 million 75 thousand rupees per unit of electricity and generate an income of 3 billion 25 million rupees annually. According to the technician, three turbines have been installed in the power house built in Duhar Tatopanipari of Timure village with the help of a 4,185 meter tunnel under Bhotekoshi under Rasuwagadhi.

The project was built by Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company, a subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company. The Chilime hydroelectric power station here is held as a mortgage by the employee savings fund loan, the Nepal Electricity Authority and the local bodies also share in the investment  The construction of the project has been completed.
