Received foreign aid of more than two billion

There has been a significant increase in foreign aid received by the government of Nepal from development partners.

According to the Ministry of Finance, a new commitment of foreign aid worth Rs.

Finance Ministry spokesman Mahesh Bhattarai informed that compared to the commitment received during the same period of the last financial year, the commitment has increased by 237 percent in the current financial year compared to 59 billion 98 million rupees. According to him, during this period, the commitment of foreign grants increased by 153 percent and the commitment of foreign loans increased by 280 percent. 

Similarly, the foreign aid received during the current fiscal year has also increased by 30.3 percent compared to the same period last year, said spokesperson Bhattarai. According to him, during this period, foreign grants of 6 billion 75 million rupees, foreign loans of 37 billion 33 million rupees, a total of 44 billion eight million foreign aid have been received and used in various development and construction sectors.
