Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has signed an agreement to sell 10,000 liters of milk per day to Manram Himalayan Handicrafts Pvt Ltd. While searching for new markets, DDC on Wednesday entered into an agreement with Manram Himalayan to sell dairy products.

 The MoU was signed by DDC General Manager Surya Paudel and Himalayan Chief Financial Officer Poonam Karki.  After the

deal, DDC will sell 10,000 liters of dairy products per day. Manram Himalayan has said that it will make Churpi and export it. DDC information officer Rajendra Adhikari said that with the agreement, a new market of Rs 7 lakh per day has been added.

Manram Himalayan Handicraft Pvt Ltd will make Churpi from 1000 liters of milk provided by DDC. DDC will provide milk products from the Biratnagar project,' said the official, "After DDC provides the raw materials, Manram Himalayan Handicrafts Pvt Ltd will make and export Churpi according to its demand."

DDC and Himalayan have signed an agreement for one year. According to DDC, the contract will be renewed after one year. As part of the reform project, DDC is taking the initiative to export its products to China.

"We are taking initiatives to export to China by selling only DDC's products, we have sent documents to the customs," General Manager Surya Paudel said, "If the products are exported to China, DDC's products will not be stored in the warehouse."
