The Commission has given information about the project bank on the occasion of the 'Financial Year 2082/83 District Level Annual Plan Formulation' program in the capital. With the implementation of the

project bank, the projects in the bank will be selected on the basis of priority and the progress of the selected projects will also be monitored, said Gangadat Nepal, Vice President of the Commission.

'It is possible to list all the plans, it is the bank that selects those plans on the basis of priority,' he said, 'and later you can see its progress.' Nepal said.

He says that the implementation of the said bank will not require random pieces and pocket plans. "Perhaps we will start it within a month. It will bring some change. This happens in the local bodies and the center,” he added.

The commission is conducting the symposium with the aim of collecting suggestions from 119 municipalities of 13 districts for the operation of the project bank and the budget for the next financial year, according to which the commission organized the fifth symposium on Monday with the participation of Wagmati Provincial Assembly member focusing on Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in the valley. At the

symposium, representatives of Nargajun, Budhanilkanth, Shankarapur, Chandragiri, Kageshwari Manhara and Gokarneshwar municipalities from Kathmandu presented suggestions. Similarly, the representatives of Wagmati and Mahankal Rural Municipality from Lalitpur made suggestions. In the

suggestion, the Budhanilkanth Municipality presented a suggestion that the commission should provide training for the local level, support technology and manpower and develop capacity in the operation of the project bank. In addition, the Commission suggested that there should be coordination between the Central Planning Commission and the local level and a policy arrangement for uniformity.

Similarly, other municipalities also suggested that skilled manpower should be prepared for financial resource management, monitoring and evaluation for project bank operations. Likewise, in the conference, municipalities suggested to the commission that they should pay attention to economic development, job creation, local enterprise promotion, poverty reduction and natural disaster management while allocating the budget for the next financial year.

In addition, Wagmati said that commercial agriculture, tourism promotion and development of road infrastructure should be developed in the upcoming budget of Wagmati. Municipalities also gave three major problems and solutions related to the selection and implementation of special, complementary and conditional grant projects available from the province, in which the project cannot be completed. In the problem of budget management, the budget should be arranged based on the cost estimate of the project, the budget of the project should be ensured, the conditional grant should be sent as equalization grant, etc. was presented to the Commission.

In this regard, Commission Secretary Subedi informed that the commission is collecting suggestions from 68 municipalities and 7 district coordination committees.
