Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has said that he is not satisfied with the current state of the economy. In the meeting of the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel said that he, like the MPs, was not satisfied with the recent improvements in the economy.
Poudel also said that the problems seen in the economy are being solved gradually. He said that the economy, which has stagnated for a long time, cannot be changed overnight and it will take some time to improve the economy.
'The economy is in trouble, there is some difficulty . This is not a subject to be denied . But gradually our problems are being solved and we are also succeeding in the reform work . An economy that has stagnated for a long time cannot be changed overnight. This will take some time, which we are constantly trying to . Some aspects of our economy are good . Foreign exchange reserves are good . The balance of payments situation is good . Liquidity condition is good . Bank interest rates have come to single digits. Price rise is under control . There is a positive situation in some aspects of the economy, including the stock market,' Minister Paudel said, 'I myself am not satisfied with the current economic progress, neither are they here . The government has made a lot of progress in improving the economy. Achievements will be achieved by removing the problems one by one. It will take a meaningful effort for that.'
Finance Minister Paudel said that in terms of revenue mobilization, the four months of the current financial year are good. To meet the target of revenue, it should be increased by 30/31 percent. But last year with a 10 percent increase, this year it is kept at 30 percent. However, we are constantly striving to achieve this goal . We are continuously working to control activities like revenue leakage, irregularity, and crime," he said.
