An organic fertilizer industry has been operated in Rupandehi with an investment of 300 million rupees for the purpose of producing fertilizer locally and supplying it to the farmers at their doorsteps.

Farmers had to wander for fertilizers after the import from India stopped during the Corona epidemic. Investors said that fertilizer industry has been brought into operation in Rohini Rural Municipality-4 Kothwawa in the district after seeing this rapidity.

Grow More Fertilizer and Chemical Pvt Ltd has started commercial production of organic fertilizers. Farmers felt relieved after the products of the industry became available in the market. Siddharth and Punamkumari Aggarwal, an entrepreneur couple from Bhairahawa, have started the organic fertilizer industry. The industry is spread over an area of 5 bigha.

Siddharth Agarwal, the owner and chairman of the industry, informed that 'Ratnam Organic Granular Fertilizer' has been brought to the market by investing Rs 30 crore. "All elements are dissolved in the fertilizer," he said. Chairman Agarwal said that even at this time, he has invested in the industry to reduce the country's fertilizer shortage. Now the industry has targeted the farmers of Lumbini, Gandaki, Wagmati and Madhesh and said that the products have been delivered to the market. According to Agarwal, the production capacity of the industry is 200 tons per day. In view of the market demand, it is now producing 100 tons of fertilizer daily.

"The production capacity is 200 tons per day," he said, "Since it is a new industry, the production will also increase after the expansion of the market." He said that now they are selling fertilizer in more than 100 locations in different provinces.

The operator said that he is producing fertilizer after registering it with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. ``We were inspired to open a fertilizer industry due to shortage of fertilizer and import of goods during the corona virus,'' said Poonamkumari Aggarwal, managing director of the industry, 'after that we started building the industry.' After that, it took a year to test the productivity of the fertilizer, he said. She said that after it was successful in increasing the production, the fertilizer was started to be sent to the market. He claims that Ratnam Organic Granular Fertilizer will be effective in improving the quality of the soil that has been damaged by the use of chemical fertilizers and increasing production.

Fertilizers are produced targeting cash crops such as rice, wheat, corn and other commercial staple food crops such as pulses, onions, garlic, flowers, fruit trees, oilseeds, sugarcane and tea plantations, from vegetable cultivation in Kausi and Karesabari fields. The manufactured fertilizer is available in 5, 25 and 50 kg packaging.

The industry, which started production a year ago, said that in the first year, the fertilizer was tested in the industrial premises, the surrounding municipalities and the fields of local farmers. Managing Director Agarwal said that the sale was started only after the test was successful.

Agrawal said that the commercial production of organic fertilizers has been started in large quantities in view of the annual shortage of fertilizers in the country and the decrease in soil fertility due to the use of chemical fertilizers and the impact of food produced by the use of chemical fertilizers on human health.

'In Nepal, an agricultural country, we always have to depend on foreign countries for fertilizer and farmers have to stand in line all day long for a bag of fertilizer,' said Agarwal, the president of the industry. We have started.'

fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sulfur, A mixture of iron, organic matter, moisture and carbon nitrogen. Managing Director Agarwal said that the price of Ratnam organic fertilizer is very cheap and good quality compared to chemical fertilizers.

'Our goal is to gradually replace chemical fertilizers,' she said, 'There is a big demand for our products from local farmers and Indian farmers as well.' The price of Ratnam Organic Fertilizer is only Rs 1,500.
