Nepal Telecom has announced that it has extended mobile service to Patarasi Rural Municipality of Jumla under Karnali Province. It is mentioned in the announcement that a new site has been constructed in Patarasi rural municipality-2 and 2G/4G mobile service has been operated since 16th of November 2081.

With the operation of mobile service by Nepal Telecom in Patarasi rural municipality of the district, the residents living in Gadigaon, Talfigaon, Matachourgaon, Chumchourgaon and other places under Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of the said rural municipality have benefited from telecommunication services for the first time .

Giving high priority to providing telecommunication services in remote areas, the company said that it has extended voice and data services targeting the demand of the customers in that location.

Along with this, the company believes that the local residents of this area, tourists and other businesses including tourism in the area can benefit from the use of modern telecommunication services.
