After a long wait, a strategic road connecting bridge has been built here. The Kaligandaki Bridge on the strategic road connecting Pokhara to Galkot through Phalebas in Baglung to Jaimini in Baglung has been completed.

This road was listed almost 5 years ago as a link road connecting Kaligandaki Corridor and Madhyapahari Lokmarg and alternative route from Pokhara to Galkot.

The bridge being built on the same road was completed after seven years. If the contractor had worked on time, the bridge, which should have been completed by the end of June 2016, was barely completed.

Rasuwa/Shri Geeta/Fewa Joint Construction Company agreed on 073 Oct 9, the contract work was completed late. The eastern section of the bridge is yet to be connected by road. About 50 meters of the road has to be constructed due to the collapse. Neelkumar Rai, the representative of the contractor company, said that after the construction of this road, motor vehicles will be able to ply on this road by November.

'The bridge is finished, now we can do the link road in a month,' said Rai, 'for the payment, we have not received the letter of design change (VO).' was He said that the corresponding payment was not approved. The contractor extended the deadline three times due to the need to change the design. 

After the completion of the 100-meter long motorable bridge connecting Jaimini municipality-1 from Jaiminidham to Devisthan of Phalewas municipality in Parbat, there is also hope among the locals. "This bridge has opened the door to a new route to Pokhara," said Harihar Sharma, Deputy Chief of Jaimini Municipality, "Now the residents of Jaimini will have to go to Pokhara by about 30 km."

Hariprasad Subedi, Division Head of Road Division Office, Baglung said that although the deadline was last June, the work will be completed and handed over by November. Although more than 95 percent of the physical part of the bridge has been completed, only 86 percent of the financial part has been paid.
