Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has requested the Nepali diaspora to help the current government formed in cooperation with the Nepal Communist Party (UML) and the Nepali Congress for the political stability of the country.

Minister Paudel, who is in the United States to participate in the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, asked for help through investment for the development of the motherland in a discussion organized by the Nepali Embassy here with the Nepali diaspora.

'The purpose of the current government is to develop according to the people's wishes and move forward on the path of prosperity, we are working accordingly,' he said. He suggested that the skills, capital and knowledge acquired here should be used in Nepal as there are ample investment opportunities in the fields of energy, tourism, and information technology.

Finance Minister Paudel, while answering the questions of the participants, also called upon them to invest with confidence as there is an investment environment in Nepal and the assurance of returns. Chandra Dhakal, President of the Confederation of Nepal Industry and Commerce, said that the support of non-resident Nepalis is necessary as more capital is needed for the economic and social development of Nepal.  The participants of the
