The Shramadhan Mela organized for the first time in Janakpur has seen a throng of employers and workers. 35 stalls related to employment and workers were full on Saturday. More than 35 stalls of government agencies related to labor and employment, employers, manpower professionals, and various social organizations have been kept in the fair organized in the hall of Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

There are government stalls such as Ministry of Labour, Foreign Employment Board, Call Center, Safe Immigration Sami, Remi Shramadhan etc. An employment counseling stall has been set up targeting the youth who are looking for work related to skills and connecting them to employment. Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister DP Aryal has inaugurated the fair which will last till Sunday. He also urged the industrialists of Madhesh province to employ many young people in their industries.

Minister Aryal said that there is a problem in the employment sector in Madhesh and a large number of young people from Madhesh are forced to go for foreign employment. "Shramadhan Mela is organized to find a solution to that problem," he said, "Nepali workers at home and abroad have many problems. Shramadhan has been started to collect and solve problems through a single means. Minister Aryal said that the government has also introduced the concept of employment bank. According to him, the work of data collection of workers going to India from Nepal has also been started.

Minister of Labor and Transport of Madhesh Province Vechi Lungeli said that the fair will play an important role in resolving the labor sector. Provincial Minister Lungeli believes that most of the youth of Madhesh province will benefit from the fair. Unemployment problem is widespread in Madhesh. There is a large number of people migrating abroad from here," she said. Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, President of Nepal Industry Confederation, said that the fair will help in the production of labor force according to the demand of the labor market. He also wanted to make the Nepali employment sector safe, organized and worker and industry friendly.

Similarly, the industrialists and businessmen of Janakpur met with Minister Aryal and asked him to take initiative to solve the labor problem in the industry and trade sector in this area. The industrialists and businessmen of Janakpur demanded that the government should create an environment that consumes Nepali workers in Nepali industries, saying that even though the process of increasing industries in Madhesh continues, most of the industries are still dominated by Indian workers.

Jitendra Mahaseth, president of Janakpur Industry and Commerce Association, said that there is a need for skilled workers in the industry. He demanded that the government should work on training, skill and capacity building of the workers. Minister Aryal said that although there is a large number of workers in Madhesh, most of them go to the Gulf countries for foreign employment, so an environment will be created to employ the same workers in industries and factories in this region.
