Within an hour of riding a motorcycle from Tripurasundari Municipality-1 Tripurakot, I and my artist friend Laxman Devkota reached Balangra Lake via Liku, Muhu, Bantadi. Maybe because the lake rose from the valley in an instant, we felt cold.
Be that as it may, from Balangra on the highest point of Dolpa, the snow-covered Setamme Himal could be seen nearby. The wind that touched the same mountain did not make it cold.
Beautiful village, looking at the colorful flowers blooming in the green fields, reached Kaigaon market at eleven o'clock. Kaigaon, which used to be reached in two days from Tripurakot, can now be reached in two hours by motorcycle due to the facilities of the road.
We walked to see the beauty of Jagdulla Lake in She-Foksundo National Park. From Kaigaon we reached Hurikot. Then the walk began.
It was raining. But we weren't about to stop. We reached Toijum after walking for two hours in the rain. It was said that we would change the wet clothes, but the carefully kept bag clothes were also wet. After drinking tea and hot water, Jiu became hot. But the weather was cold.
was our plan, to reach Upper Dansile. Dense forest road. The monotonous sigh of the river Jagdulla. After starting the journey, we kept on walking, soaking in the water, wondering why we should stop. And when it was almost five o'clock, we reached Lower Dansi.
There was no hotel to stay. Walking was not an option as accommodation was not available until reaching Upper Dansi. But the body is tired from the constant rain and the cold is increasing. We had no choice.
I was completely exhausted. Each step was getting harder. The clothes were also starting to feel heavy. Cold, hunger and the uphill road—what more was needed for suffering than here! Even that left me breathless. The head started to hurt.
The darkness was growing. I felt like throwing my backpack somewhere. I kept on walking as if I had a gut hidden somewhere inside. We reached Upper Dunsley at eight o'clock. The hungry dogs barking in unison at the sight of the new man who came at night. The bells of yak, chawri and zopa started ringing.
Ward president Sher Bahadur Lama's cowshed is that. Lama Dai also has his own hotel. We spent the night at his hotel at an altitude of 4500 meters. We took a long breath and said, 'Blessed is he alive'.
When we went out in the morning, it was as if the Setamme Himal was smiling at us. Jagdulla river is sighing. Beside, Buki and others are playing grass byly. All the scenes seemed to make yesterday's fatigue disappear.
Looking at the horses, yaks, goats and sheep grazing in the fields, we started walking, enjoying the cool air. After three hours of straight walking, we reached the side of Rakshasa Lake. It is also called 'Prem Tal' because it looks like the shape of a leaf. We took amazing photos and videos with the
lake in the background. And we moved forward with the beauty of Prem Tal in our hearts. After walking for about two hours, we reached Jagdulla Lake. This was our destination! The trick of capturing its beauty was the reason for walking such a long way and raising all the confusion.
Kanchan Pani and the lake of water in the air. And the Laskars of Seta Himal standing like security guards across the lake. We screamed with joy.
This lake is also very important from a religious point of view. Thousands of pilgrims from different districts come here every year on the full moon of July. Bathing in the lake is a custom. According to the ancient Tibetan scriptures, this lake is a sacred place of pilgrimage for nine million gods and goddesses.
Locals said that this lake also changes color like Phoksundo lake. We looked closely. The lake was blue. A pale white appeared in an instant. Because there were white clouds in the sky. It was reflected in the lake.
Looking at the beauty of the lake, I did not realize that an hour and a half had passed. Had it not started to rain, I wanted to stay there for a while longer. After capturing the beauty of the lake in our mind, we returned to stay at the hotel of the ward head. It felt like a great purpose had been accomplished. It was a mind-blowing experience to see the most beautiful scenery of nature.
