The American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AMCHAM Nepal) has organized the ‘Scaling Innovations’ dialogue with the aim of increasing partnership in the field of technology between Nepal and the United States.

The event was organized by Adex TechBeam, a member company of AmCham Nepal, under the 19th Learning Series, with the aim of connecting the technology ecosystem with commercial platforms.

On the occasion, experts presented their views on ‘Scaling Ethical and Innovative AI Adoption in Global Markets’ and emphasized the need for innovators from both countries to expand collaboration.

At the event organized in collaboration with AmCham Nepal and Adynta Advisory, Adex-TechBeam Co-Founder Baibhav Khadka presented on the transformation that the use of AI can bring to the technology industry.

He noted that the global market is rapidly becoming AI-centric and believed that Nepal can be established as an ethical and innovative AI hub if it can seize the opportunities along with the challenges.

Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the US Embassy in Nepal, said that AI innovation is an important foundation for strengthening the Nepal-US tech partnership.

Stuti Basnyat, Managing Director of Adynta Advisory, said that the platform was created with the aim of connecting Nepali founders with American platforms, investment channels and international opportunities.

During the dialogue, the speakers emphasized that Nepal should also focus on AI-related skill development and industry expansion as AI competition in the global market intensifies.

They emphasized that necessary steps should be taken to expand the capital of startups and scale-up companies by branding Nepal as a ‘tech and AI hub’. Participants also discussed the possibility of Nepal becoming a ‘boutique talent hub’ for the US.

Amir R. Thapa, Executive Director of MICHAM Nepal, said that the programs organized through the Member Learning Series have directly enhanced Nepal-US commercial cooperation. According to him, such initiatives will lay the foundation for building shared economic prosperity between the two countries.
